Eco Philosophy
Starting with the residents of Bergen County, New Jersey, I intend to spread the word that we have the power to restore the tarnished image of Homo sapiens. Sad to say but Homo sapiens have been responsible for the elimination of thousands of species. More damage to our water, air and earth has been done in the past 200 years than in all of previous history. Plastic waste, for example, in the North Pacific, is estimated to be killing up to a million seabirds and hundreds of thousand sea animals each year. Toxic substances in homes and offices are causing millions of people and animals to suffer from allergies and respiratory illnesses. Ongoing studies by the EPA and similar agencies around the world are revealing more and more dangerous side effects from materials we routinely place in houses, office building, warehouses and other structures. The same agencies are now helping us understand the importance of making our homes energy efficient, via the Energy Star program. As the trusted custodians of Planet Earth it is our sacred duty to draw attention to the deadly cycle of destruction caused by the thoughtless disposal of plastics and other toxic materials and to do everything we can to prevent it. With the knowledge I have obtained through research and study I will do everything I can to raise the awareness of sellers and buyers of real estate in Bergen County, New Jersey as to the dangers inherent in substances that can adversely affect the environment in the homes they own and in the homes they may be buying and give good advice to Bergen County's home owners on the financial and health benefits of making their home energy efficient with health Interior Air Quality (IAQ). It is only through sharing and increasing our knowledge of these environmental dangers that we can start to correct the mistakes of the past and leave a more hopeful and healthy legacy for future generations.
